Aviation management programme pathway

If you are willing to acquire a pilot licence together with a Bachelor’s degree this program is tailored for you! Enrolment into this study programme gives you an opportunity to choose training for a private (PPL(A)) or a commercial (CPL(A)) pilot licence. This programme is divided into two parts. Aviation Management studies are carried out at Kazimieras Simonavicius University (Vilnius, Lithuania), while a PPL(A) or a CPL(A) pilot training is carried out at BAA Training simultaneously. You will automatically enrol on a 400-hour internship at Lithuanian or foreign aviation companies by joining this programme. The internship will allow you to get your first experience and develop your skills needed for the job market.

Obtain a Bachelor’s degree together with a pilot licence and have an advantage opening the door into the aviation industry! Once you acquire a Private Pilot Licence, you can proceed with a further training for an ATPL frozen licence needed to apply for a First Officer’s position at an airline. If you acquire a Commercial Pilot Licence together with your Batchelor’s degree, you will only need a few additional ratings and you are ready to apply for an airline!

Theoretical preparation

Knowledge of Mathematics, Physics, and English is of key importance. During the assessment, the school and exam grades of these disciplines are evaluated additionally. A special skill assessment can be organised by the academy for those having low or no grades from their secondary school and those who choose a CPL(A) modular training programme

Personal competence and aptitude

All candidates who choose a CPL(A) modular training programme must go through special tests and interviews developed by the selection commission of the BAA Training for social competence and aptitude assessment

Course content

The total duration of the course may vary between 3,5 and 4 years depending on your ability to pass CAA exams. Aviation Management programme consists of 7 semesters which are completed in 3,5 years (a pilot training programme goes along with it). 

AVIATION MANAGEMENT

The Bachelor’s degree studies at Kazimieras Simonavicius University will cover key management, economics, finance as well as general aviation and aviation management courses. Each year is finished with an internship period.

PRIVATE PILOT LICENCE

The training for a Private Pilot Licence lasts for 1 year. It consists of 155h of PPL theory CAA Exams and 47 hours of a single-engine flight. Find out more about the programme.

COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE

The training for a Commercial Pilot Licence lasts up to 36 months. It consists of 779 hours of PPL and ATPL theory, 23 CAA exams and 200 hours of a single-engine, multi-engine and FNPT II simulator flights. Find out more about the programme.

WHERE WILL YOU TRAIN AND LIVE

The theoretical part of your training is conducted at the headquarters of the academy in Vilnius, Lithuania. Take a 360 tour.

For the long term accommodation, we offer LOOP hotel. The newly built contemporary design hotel located next to the BAA Training premises is a guarantee of a comfortable stay 1 kilometer away from the International Vilnius Airport and 3 kilometers away from the city centre.

The hotel offers modern single and double rooms for BAA Training students who will have an accesses to fully furnished kitchen and the private lounge zone. The hotel offers all the amenities including the restaurant, self-service laundry & ironing room, a gym room and many more.

It is your choice to either stay in Vilnius and commute to the aerodrome every day or temporarily to move to the other city. BAA Training could also offer several partner hotels in convenient locations and at good prices there.
