An airline ready First Officer in just 23 months!

You can choose where you want to study – the virtual or traditional classroom. Take on-campus learning at BAA Training in Vilnius, Lithuania or connect virtually from whichever spot you want anywhere in the world (up to 12 months in this case).
VFR refers to the parts of the regulations that deal with flying visually. You will practise on our Cessna 172S aircrafts.
IFR regulations are those dealing with “instrument flight rules.” You will learn flying by reference to the instruments.
Multi-Engine training teaches the multi-engine plane aerodynamics and other specifics of flying such type of aircraft.
The UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training) gives student pilots the skills to prevent and deal with serious events such as stalls and spins, and the APS (Airline Pilot Standards) MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation) course with the integration of Virtual Reality-based training elements provides a competency-based training in operating in a multi-pilot environement.
It consists of CBT, theory, and APT sessions with the integration of Virtual Reality-based training elements. Locations: Vilnius, Lithuania or Barcelona, Spain.
The flight training on a Boeing or Airbus Full Flight Simulator (FFS) might take place in Vilnius or Barcelona simulator training centre, depending on the aircraft type in question.
The training involves at least six take-offs and landings to illustrate your fitness to operate an aircraft. The training is organized at an agreed airport on your chosen type – Boeing or Airbus. Locations may vary.
We use a pool of five or more BAA Training airline partners to schedule a job interview for you with those with current job openings.

FAQs

It was designed with a clear purpose to ensure a student is employed as a pilot at a commercial airline after they complete all training stages successfully. A regular cadet receives a letter of intent from one particular airline known in advance, which cannot be perceived as a 100% employment guarantee. In contrast, with this new BAA Training Cadet Program, the chances of getting hired are maximized because we present a high-performing graduate’s candidacy to a number of our airline partners, respected European airlines, with open vacancies at that precise point in time. To make all the processes smooth-running, we assign a personal career coach to each pilot-to-be to support the studying progress of that student and be accountable for their consecutive employment. Also, our students get a unique opportunity to use VR headsets during the MCC stage. With a virtual environment and head-mounted display, pilots can familiarize themselves with new instruments, buttons and procedures and learn the cockpit controls and different scenarios they might face while flying. This technology provides a highly realistic virtual environment and revolutionizes aviation training.
To enroll, you have to be at least 18 years old, have a secondary or higher education, obtain an EASA 1st Class Medical Certificate and be eligible to work in EASA countries legally.

All candidates have to take special tests and interviews developed by the selection committee of BAA Training for social competence and aptitude assessment. Knowledge of Mathematics, Physics and English is of crucial importance to pass.
It is an all-inclusive program that is composed of ATPL Integrated (theory and flight training), Type Rating (full flight simulator training) + Base Training (one-day training when you fly a large airliner like Boeing or Airbus to illustrate your fitness to be a pilot) and an airline job interview.
This job guarantee is offered for students whose academic record matches the predefined standard. It is common and understandable that airlines are interested in hiring only highly competent and professional pilots due to safety and other concerns.
A student has to take no more than two CAA exam attempts per subject/check during ATPL ground and flight school. Type Rating theory final exam result and the practical part will be of importance combined with a required pass rate of psychological evaluation during Base Training. Last but not least, you are expected to present yourself well during the interview with an airline.

In a very improbable scenario, when BAA Training fails to execute its responsibility to offer actual employment, it will provide financial compensation to a student or a free-of-charge FI training course.
You will do the ATPL Integrated ground school in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, which is just next to the BAA Training simulator training centre and a few bus stops from the buzz of the beautiful old town. The second option is to do it in Spain, in the same location as our flight base – at Lleida-Alguaire International Airport. Alternatively, you can complete the theoretical part completely online from the comfort of your home or other preferred location via a virtual classroom, which offers dynamic learning possibilities, access to instructor-led lectures, schedules, notifications for upcoming classes or exams, in-class group or peer-to-peer conversations, group assignments, etc.

You will travel to Lleida-Alguaire International Airport in Spain for your flight training. It is a convenient location with developed infrastructure and a climate suitable for training year-round!
We are obliged to offer you employment at a few of our airline partners in Europe if you demonstrate the predetermined training progress during the course. Due to confidentiality reasons, we cannot disclose the names of the companies at the moment.

However, all of them are strong and prospering operators ramping up their recruitment plans and considering new aircraft orders in the future. The list of airline members of this cadet program might increase in months to come.
You will be able to discuss questions related to the working conditions and remuneration during the airline interview with your potential employer.
The cost of this all-in-one training program with a job guarantee is 86 000 euros.
If you have a valid PPL licence, you are entitled to a 2760 euros discount and a reduction of your VFR flight training to 12 hours. However, we can specify the final conditions only after carefully evaluating your documents and previous flight experience. We will do it after the achieved pass rate of the BAA Training assessment.
