Private Pilot Licence — Your New Year’s Resolution?

As 2022 rapidly approaches, everyone is thinking about New Years’ resolutions. Even though we don’t need a new year to start doing better, it might still be a perfect time to stop making excuses and fulfill an old dream. If yours is to become a private pilot, all we can say – go ahead and do it! While “because I want it” is a strong argument by itself, there are some more!

Fly internationally

With a private licence, you can fly all over the world. How about North America, Europe, or maybe Asia? Of course, you will have to study a little bit to understand and obey your destination’s rules and regulations. However, more than 60 countries share similar standards and have an easy system that allows foreign pilots to fly, making things easier for you.

Go for a business trip

Professionals who require lots of travel might use their PPL to fly to work. Instead of an all-day trip spent waiting in an airport, you can reduce the length to a couple of hours of enjoyable flying. Moreover, just like your business can reimburse you for automobile fuel and operating expenses, so too can they potentially reimburse you for airplane expenses.

Acquire a new mindset

No view compares to the view from an aircraft. As a private pilot, you can fly as early or late as you wish and take perfect shots from high above or simply admire the scenery. We often think of recharging as synonymous with relaxation. However, sometimes the best way to recharge is to throw yourself into something that takes your mind off of the day-to-day. It will make you think of things differently.

Become a commercial pilot

Once you start flying with PPL, you may realize you want to start flying for a living. Then, you will need to complete commercial pilot training and earn your commercial pilot license (CPL). PPL will be the first step towards this new goal.

Most of what you study in CPL theory is built on the basics of PPL theory. It is slightly more complicated, but you should be fine if you have good PPL knowledge. The flying part requires more accuracy, but then again, it is just a matter of practice and fine-tuning your skills over time.

The CPL training fee is too much of a burden for many, so they delay taking the course. However, at BAA Training, you can choose a monthly payment plan so that it’s easier for you to plan your expenses and attain your CPL.

Study from wherever you want

You don’t have to travel anywhere to complete PPL theory unless you want to. From February 2022, BAA Training introduces an innovative virtual platform. Through this platform, it will be possible to do PPL, ATPL and cadet programs’ theory online, proceeding with the flight part in Spain.

The dynamic virtual environment will ensure the best training quality of EASA standard. You will have access to instructor-led lectures, schedules, peer-to-peer conversations and school exams, all in one online setting and from the comfort of your home. If you know you learn better in a traditional classroom, you also have this option.

Aviation can be as complicated and in-depth as you want it to be. There is always another skill, another plane, or new airspace to learn. And starting with PPL is a perfect choice opening many doors. Are you ready for the new adventure in 2022?
